The latest WHO classification of diseases, released in June 2018, adopted by the 72nd World Health Assembly in May 2019, and effective from 1 January 2022. ICD-11 introduces a fully digital structure with a Foundation Component, Linearizations, extension codes (for severity, anatomy, medicaments, etc.), and a Supplementary Chapter for Traditional Medicine.
