KFF issue brief (updated 19 March 2026) tracking Medicare telehealth policy: the brief coverage lapse during the October-November 2025 government shutdown with retroactive reinstatement on 12 November, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 extension of pandemic-era flexibilities through 31 December 2027, and the tele-behavioural-health in-person visit requirement currently due to take effect in January 2028.
