Abstract. Vendor of EMIS Web, the most widely used GP clinical system in English primary care (more than half of English GP practices). EMIS was acquired by Optum in 2022 and the corporate brand was retired in favour of Optum UK in March 2025; the EMIS Web product retains its name. Optum UK was subsequently acquired by US private-equity firm TPG in March 2026. The /emis-web product page is more durable than the homepage, which now redirects to the broader Optum landing.
