Pear Therapeutics was a pioneer of prescription digital therapeutics and the first company to obtain FDA clearance for one, reSET, for substance use disorder. Despite its regulatory firsts it could not secure sustainable reimbursement, and it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2023, selling its products during the proceedings.
